DESCRIPTION:
Interfaces with maintenance personnel, purchasing and receiving to ensure materials are processed in a consistent, timely manner. Using current electronic and operating procedures issue, return, reallocate and safely handle aircraft parts, standards tools, equipment, kits and general supplies. Provide flexible support to various areas within the Maintenance Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties include but are not limited to the following items:
  • Order, receive, issue, secure, and maintain the inventory of all parts per FAA regulations.
  • Confirm shipping information and arrival of part(s) and relay to management and vendors.
  • Performs regular inventory audits to maintain parts accountability.
  • Prepares and forecasts inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
  • Assembles inventory packages for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Responsible for preparing daily reports for all incoming and outgoing parts, equipment and material.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties within area.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel at all levels regarding all job-related issues both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to drive light duty trucks and operate pallet jacks and hand trucks.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment, such as fax and copy machines.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to pass initial and random alcohol and drug testing
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). College Degree Preferred!
  • One year related experience preferred.
  • Computer proficient in MS office and general internet applications.
  • Ability to work well without supervision.
  • Ability to be certified in the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to qualify for Airport SIDA badge.
  • Must possess good oral and written communications skills and problem solving skills.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license and if position requires use of company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Ability to work occasional odd hours, including some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; climb; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lift and/or move greater poundage.

ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in this work environment is usually high. May work near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Working area is in the hangar and stockroom; subjected to noises due to proximity of airport runways, and use of pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Uniform is required
