Maintenance Clerk
Title:Maintenance Clerk
Location:Oakdale, CA

Interfaces with maintenance personnel, purchasing and receiving to ensure materials are processed in a consistent, timely manner. Using current electronic and operating procedures issue, return, reallocate and safely handle aircraft parts, standards tools, equipment, kits and general supplies. Provide flexible support to various areas within the Maintenance Department including the DOM and parts personnel.

The duties include but are not limited to the following items:

  • Assist the Director of Maintenance (DOM) with general office support in an open concept office setting.
  • High levels of data entry via generalized (MS Office) and specialized (TFBO, FlightDocs, etc.) computer software programs.
  • Perform regular data upkeep include filing duties (making copies, creating files, discarding outdated documents).
  • Verify part/serial number installations/removals to ensure uniformity between the database and Maintenance paperwork.
  • Create purchase orders and repair requests.
  • Communicate via phone regularly with satellite offices and outside vendors.
  • Assist in occasional ordering, receiving, issuing, securing, and maintenance of all parts per FAA regulations.
  • Follow up and confirm shipping information and arrival of part(s) and relay to management and vendors.
  • Responsible for preparing daily reports for all incoming and outgoing parts, equipment and material.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties within area.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel at all levels regarding all job-related issues both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment, such as fax and copy machines.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to pass initial and random alcohol and drug testing


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). College Degree Preferred!
  • One year related experience preferred.
  • High level of computer proficiency in MS Office and general internet applications.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well without supervision.
  • Must possess good oral and written communications skills and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Ability to work occasional odd hours, including some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; climb; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lift and/or move greater poundage.
