Description
Sierra West Airlines, a Part 135 charter company, specializing in passenger and cargo charters with a fleet of jet and turboprop aircraft, has an immediate opening for a Charter Sales Representative. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, organized and must be a team-oriented individual, capable of providing first class customer service and care. A results-driven candidate with a history of strong performance will thrive.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Demonstrated experience and competency in managing and building wholesale and retail charter accounts.
- Must provide prompt and accurate price quoting to customers and follow-up on quotes to determine results.
- Read and understand individual aircraft specs, dimensions, and performance capabilities.
- Must be able to handle high call/email volume and produce quotes in an expedited fashion.
- Constantly update and maintain an accurate customer preference database.
- Foster and develop relationships with customers and industry personnel to promote goodwill and generate new business.
- Possess a drive and creative marketing initiative to promote various transient availability, empty legs, one-ways, etc.
- Must remain current on company and competitor product offerings, aircraft, regional charter pricing, and travel trends.
- Represents the company in a professional manner at trade shows and industry/marketing events.
- Ensure a consistent performance of sales objectives each month by meeting required sales quotas.
- Collaborate with team members within the Operations and Flight Departments to ensure cohesive teamwork.
- Continue to build your book of business through participating in events, outbound sales effort and general relationship development in the industry.
- Generate new business leads by developing relationships with brokers and maintaining prospect lists.
- Outsource flights when company aircraft are not available to meet customer requirements and ensure the trip is profitable.
- Assist with client requests such as arranging hotel accommodations, catering, and ground transportation to ensure a flawless flight experience.
- Ensure all pre-trip policies and company and FAA regulations have been completed prior to departure.
- Coordinate with maintenance planning teams to ensure aircraft availability aligns with scheduled downtimes.
- Follow up with clients post trip to ensure satisfaction in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with cargo charter sales in addition to standard passenger charter sales.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Bachelor's degree preferred: ideally in business, aviation, business development, or sales related fields.
- 3-5 years of similar industry sales experience required.
- Aviation, specifically Part 135, experience is preferred.
- Quoting software experience preferred.
SCHEDULING AND COMPENSATION:
- This is a full-time, permanent position with room for growth and advancement.
- Sierra West Airlines in a 24/7, 365 operation: schedule will predominantly be M-F, however occasional nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
